Severe storms erupted across parts of the Midwest dumping large hail and leaving behind wind damage across northern Missouri. A potent supercell that formed in Iowa south of Des Moines slid across the border and impacted areas around Memphis, Missouri. This cell would later become part of a severe line of storms that moved into central Illinois later in the evening.
